Position: Hygiene Operative – Full time
Reporting to: Hygiene Supervisor
Location: Finedale Foods Limited, Bunwell Street, Bunwell, Norfolk, NR16 1SH
Overview of the role
To clean the factory and ancillary areas to a high-quality standard, always following factory procedures and health and safety requirements.
Person Specification
- Good verbal, written and numerical skills.
- Fluency of English language (verbal and written).
- Ability to complete required standard of work.
- Food manufacturing experience.
- Uses own initiative
- Adapts to change
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Dismantling and re-building of production machinery
- Ensure completion of daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules of all areas to ensure plant maintained
- Ensure that the required quality, safety, hygiene and environmental standards are implemented, maintained and improved.
- Attend training courses as required and assist in the training of other hygiene staff as directed.
- Maintain, replenish stocks of cleaning materials
- Be fully conversant with the operation and care of any mechanical cleaning equipment used in conjunction with your hygiene duties
- Ensure all issues and concerns are immediately raised with Operations Manager and aid in solving these issues.
- Ensure you and others all wear the supplied PPE and safety equipment as per the cleaning schedule whilst always using chemicals on site.
- To respond to audit reports, corrective action summaries to ensure work is carried out to an agreed timescale and manner
