Hygiene Team Supervisor

Position:  Hygiene Team Supervisor – Full time

Reporting to:  Operations Manager / Production Manager

Location:  Finedale Foods Limited, Bunwell Street, Bunwell, Norfolk, NR16 1SH

Overview of the role

To clean the factory and ancillary areas to a high-quality standard, always following factory procedures and health and safety requirements. Instruct and guide staff in all cleaning procedures. Ensure audit forms and production hygiene records are adequately completed.

 

Person Specification

  • Good verbal, written and numerical skills.
  • Fluency of English language (verbal and written).
  • Ability to complete required standard of work.
  • Food manufacturing experience.
  • Uses own initiative
  • Adapts to change

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise team of hygiene operatives to ensure they know their duties and carry out their work in accordance with cleaning procedures and practices and Health & Safety Regulations. Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained.
  • Provide a comprehensive cleaning service to include vacuuming, washing floors, emptying bins, cleaning toilets, foaming, sanitizing, high level cleaning, manual cleaning and scrubbing etc. to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times
  • Ensure completion of daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules of all areas to ensure plant maintained to a high standard.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the required quality, safety, hygiene and environmental standards are implemented, maintained and improved.
  • Attend training courses as required and assist in the training of other hygiene staff as directed.
  • Maintain and improve the pre-determined deep clean schedules and daily cleaning schedules.
  • Replenish chemicals in washroom and factory.
  • Order chemicals, as required, replenish blue towels and maintain GMP standards in factory
  • Ensure all issues and concerns are immediately raised with Operations Manager and aid in solving these issues.
  • Responsible for ensuring effective communication with regards plant hygiene standards across and between shifts within the teams to ensure optimum performance is achieved.
  • Help train all new team members and make them feel part of the team.
  • Ensure you and others all wear the supplied PPE and safety equipment as per the cleaning schedule whilst always using chemicals on site.
  • To respond to audit reports, corrective action summaries to ensure work is carried out to an agreed timescale and manner
